Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds have today announced a series of live shows for June 2022. Taking in a string of stunning and unique settings, the shows are amongst the first announced activity in what is set to be another busy year for Noel.
Fans can expect a dynamic live set showcasing Noel’s prolific career, all powered by his full, formidable eleven piece band. Relentless world touring, landmark open air shows and festival headline slots have seen Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds shows described as “euphoric” (Evening Standard), and “expansive and powerful” (The Guardian), their creative and commercial success matching that of the band’s recorded output.
Since establishing Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds in 2011 following his legendary success with Oasis, Noel has never sat still creatively. He’s mastered the art of embracing an instinctive sonic evolution and creative freedom whilst never neglecting the songcraft. Released during the summer of 2021, ‘Back The Way We Came: Vol 1 (2011-2021)’ is a definitive 18 track Best Of album celebrating Noel’s first decade as a solo artist. It soared to Number One in the UK album charts on its release. The album’s success marked Noel’s fourth solo UK Number One album (following the eponymous ‘Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds’, ‘Chasing Yesterday’ and ‘Who Built The Moon?’). Noel also has a record breaking run of ten consecutive Number One studio albums, and 12 across his entire career in both Oasis and as a solo artist.
