Viagra Boys are the band you might just need in your life

Viagra Boys are a punk band from Stockholm, Sweden. Formed in 2015, the 6 man band started exploring their very own lane in what would become to be called ugly gonzo post punk genre. With a wide range of influences such as Screaming Jay Hawkins, Butthole Surfers, Suicide, Dead Kennedys they’ve created a melting pot that we know as Viagra Boys. The name Viagra Boys may make you think of failing sexual abilities, and that’s kind of what it’s about. The name was chosen as a pun to mans’ failed role in society.
2018 saw the band release their first studio album Street Worms, a twisted dark punk album that is grimey and acid highway full throttle. It’s been critically praised around the world, with Pitchfork naming the lead single Sports the “Best new track”, regular spins off BBC Radio 1’s Annie Mac and Noisey calling them “The Band that might genuinely get you back into post punk!”
Viagra Boys will come to Clwb Ifor Bach on Tuesday the 21st of May 2019. Tickets are on sale can get yours HERE.
