Do's & Don'ts | Simply Red at Eirias Stadium

We hope you’re excited to join us for a great day of music at the Eirias Stadium!  We ask for your co-operation and request you abide by the following guidelines designed to assist you.

TIMINGS

Box Office Opens - 3 PM
Gates Open - 5 PM
Approx Concert Finish Time - 10.30 PM

THE BOX OFFICE

  • Is open from 3 PM on the day of the event and is situated in Woody’s Lodge, which is the building opposite the Astro Turf Pitch in Eirias Park (Pedestrian access only)

SEATING

  • LIMITED seating will be allowed onto the pitch for General Admission ticket holders. 1x small foldable chair per person ONLY.

​ENTRANCE GATES

  • General Admission and Fast Track entrance is via Gate C (off Abergele Road)
  • Hospitality and Accessibility entrance is via Gate A (Via Colwyn Leisure Centre)

DO'S

  • Do enjoy!

  • Do join our official event page to keep up to date with all the latest information and any sudden changes if any HERE. 
  • Do allow ample time for your journey.
  • Do plan your travel in advance for the event. There aren’t any planned road works in the area to cause delays. You can check for any roadworks at https://roadworks.org
  • Do tune in to local radio & check social media for the latest travel updates.
  • Do be patient.
  • Do arrive at the venue in good time prior to the start of the concert, due to additional security checks and other events in the area
  • Do check the weather and bring weatherproof clothing if appropriate.
  • Do put any rubbish in the bins provided for you.
  • Do look for official vendors and concessions stalls. Avoid unlicensed traders outside of the grounds.
  • Do Apply and bring sunscreen if the weather is hot and drink plenty of water
  • Do leave the event quietly and please respect our neighbours. 

​​DON’T’S

  • Do not bring a bag if you can possibly avoid it. If you must please don’t bring one larger than an A4 sheet of paper.
  • Do not bring anything that could be considered a weapon.
  • Do not bring any type of pyrotechnics such as fireworks, flares or sparklers.
  • Do not arrive with any form of professional audio or visual recording equipment.
  • Do not bring an umbrella to the event.
  • Do not bring dogs to the event (with the exception of assistance dogs).
  • Do not leave valuables on display in your vehicle.
  • Do not bring food and drink into the event unless for medical reasons. 

 

​​GETTING HERE

  • The concert takes place in: Eirias Park, Eirias Road, Colwyn Bay, LL29 7SP

BY CAR

PARK AND WALK 

  • (Car Parks available from 2pm – 11pm).
  • There are 4 options to park and walk close to Stadiwm Eirias, which will be available from 2pm to 11pm. These can be viewed at: bit.ly/colwynpark
  • Car Park D - £5 to the steward - Ysgol Bryn Elian LL29 8HU
  • Car Park I - £5 to the steward - Police HQ LL29 8AW
  • Car Park J - £5 to the steward - Bryn Eirias LL29 8BF
  • Car Park J - £5 to the steward - Plas Eirias LL29 8BF

DISABLED PARKING 

  • Disabled parking is available free of charge at Eirias High School (Car Park H). This is accessible via Eirias Road. Access will only be granted to vehicles displaying a disabled user’s pass / blue badge.
  • Once Car Park H is full, parking stewards will implement a drop-off point where customers with mobility difficulties can be dropped off at Eirias High School.

GETTING THERE BY BUS

  • Buses operate from various locations to Stadiwm Eirias.
  • Bus stops are located near both the Abergele Road and Eirias Road entrances to the Stadium.
  • Concert goers should be mindful of the timing of the concert and are advised to check with the operator (Arriva Bus: 0843 504 3763; www.arrivabus.co.uk) for details of the timetable.

GETTING THERE BY TRAIN

  • The nearest railway station to Stadiwm Eirias is Colwyn Bay which is approximately 2 miles away.
  • A taxi rank is situated outside Colwyn Bay Railway station.
  • Concert goers should be mindful of the timing of the concert and are advised to check with the operator (Transport for Wales: 0333 3211 202; tfw.gov.wales) for details of the timetable.
  • Please visit www.nationalrail.co.uk to check ahead for any planned engineering works that may affect your journey. 

TAXI PICK UP AND DROP OFF POINT

  • If you are arriving by Taxi you should aim to be dropped off and collected at Porth Eirias LL29 8HH. Follow directional signage.
  • Taxis will not be permitted to drop off or pick up anywhere along Abergele Road.
  • The concert is scheduled to end at approximately 22:15hrs. Please allow plenty of time to walk from the concert arena to the highway when booking your taxi.

ROAD CLOSURES

  • There will be a road closure on Abergele Road outside the venue at the end of the concert. Please follow directional signage and check social media for updates.

SEATING

  • This is both standing and seated concert; Customers with Seated tickets please enter via GATE C (off Abergale Road). Stewards on the day will then be of assistance. 

ACCESSIBILITY

  • The event takes place on firm flat flooring; there will be friendly stewards, accessible toilets plus an accessible viewing area is available. The stadium is suitable for wheelchair users with assistance. Please book this in advance. Subject to availability.

WEATHER

  • The concert will not be cancelled in the event of inclement weather.
  • Please bring clothing appropriate to the expected weather conditions. In consideration of other concertgoers umbrellas should not be used in the crowd; respect fellow concertgoers' space.

REFRESHMENTS

  • You are not permitted to bring food and drink* to the event. (*Unless for medical circumstances)
  • A range of catering, offering a variety of food and drink will be available within the event arena from the time the gates open.
  • You are permitted to bring in one sealed bottle of water in a soft plastic bottle.

TOILETS

  • Standard and accessible toilet facilities are located throughout the event arena.
