Freya Ridings announces major UK Tour

Freya Ridings has announced a major UK tour this November, which will see her play to a combined audience of over 23,000 people, including a stop off at St David's Hall, Cardiff on Wednesday the 20th of November. Freya is the new star tipped by everyone from Taylor Swift to Florence Welch and fashion designer Richard Quinn. She became the surprise success story of 2018 with her breakthrough platinum-selling hit ‘Lost Without You’. A once-in-a-lifetime song that immediately put Freya on the map, it hit the Top 10 on seven separate occasions during a six-month run in the Top 40 and is now approaching 200 million streams. Tickets go on general sale from 10am on Friday June 21st and will be available from www.ticketmaster.co.uk.
While ‘Lost Without You’ established Freya’s rising star status, it was the strength of her live shows that first earned her a word-of-mouth fanbase - as captured in her early live recordings ‘Live At Omeara’ and ‘Live At St. Pancras Old Church’. Every tour has seen Freya rise to play bigger venues, her last show in Cardiff at The Globe in 2018 sold out months in advance.
As an early live review from The Independent stated, “Each song and every lyric was delivered impeccably and with heart, demonstrating there was real angst and emotion entwined within those words.” The Times hailed her as “The new Adele......Freya Ridings is the voice of 2019.” With GQ adding to praise by saying “This singer brings classical precision and raw emotion to celestial pop.”

Freya wrote all of the eleven songs that feature on the album which underpins her world class credentials as a songwriter. In an era in which hits are inevitably written by committee, ‘Lost Without You’ saw Freya become the first female artist to have an entirely self-written Top 10 hit since Kate Bush’s ‘Running Up That Hill’ returned to the charts in 2012.
