Arena sized Southern rock is coming to Caerphilly

11/12/2018 by Richard Samuel

Black Stone Cherry will serve up some classic southern rock at Caerphilly Castle in Summer 2019! The American rock giants are set to play at Wales’ largest castle on Saturday the 13th July 2019.

2018 has been a busy year for Black Stone; - not only supporting the music legends, Guns N’ Roses at this year’s Download festival, the band also secured their third top 10 album in the UK charts with their latest release, Family Tree and have recently finished off their busy European tour.

There’s certainly been no rest for the wicked. For 17 years, Black Stone Cherry has put forth a new vicious breed of Southern rock, injecting youthful vitality and a myriad of fresh new influences into the beloved American rock tradition. To date, the band have released five critically acclaimed albums, and one well-received blues EP. They’ve rocked 12,000-cap arena shows, topped the UK charts, and shared the stage with a diverse roster of superstars, including Def Leppard, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Bad Company, Mötorhead, Alter Bridge and ZZ Top. Fans attending the Caerphilly Castle show can expect to experience some of these new cuts and alongside classic favourites, which we can't wait to hear btw, such as Blame it on the Boom Boom, Lonely Train and White Trash Millionaire.
